i'm newbie on android development platform.

can 3rd party application (say 1 i'm developing) send sms messages?

i believe not have access default text messaging app. hence plan develop 1 on own, read words used , process such texts before delivering receiver. know if there such apis allow send text messages.

i think looking for. sec method described in article not need additional permissions, requires user types message. don't think there way send sms without permission.
